PLACE

Neochori Lefktrou of Western Mani, location "Gonatsa" (Peloponnese, Greece)
The headquarters of KALLIERGON syn are located on a hillside at the foothills of Mount Taygetus, in the area known as “Gonatsa”, within the community of Neochori–Stoupa in the Municipality of Western Mani, Messinia, Greece.
The place name “Gonatsa” may be connected to Slavic dialects that appeared in Western Mani during the Middle Ages and may relate to meanings such as movement or gathering. In this sense, “Gonatsa” can also be understood as a place of encounter.
The site lies at an altitude of 245 metres on a 6,000 m² area, offering panoramic views of the Messinian Gulf and the ridges of Mount Taygetus. Located near the coastal village of Stoupa and close to the Kalamata–Areopoli road, it combines natural landscape with accessibility.
Powered by renewable energy sources, the headquarters serve as a reference point for the organization, while the activities of KALLIERGON syn are developed mainly through collaborations in Greece and internationally.
