The major, pioneering cultural initiative titled "Poiitikoi Dromoi" (Poetic Pathways) 

organized by KALLIERGON syn in Kalamata, is set to commence on October 11 and will run until November 15, 2025. Entry and participation are free for everyone.

This is an alternative activity that combines poetry with the exploration of public spaces, encouraging participants to interact with their environment through art, while simultaneously promoting literacy and Greek literature.

The project is inspired by the visual artist and co-founder of KALLIERGON syn, Vasiliki Kateri. It combines poetry with the exploration of public space, encouraging participants to engage interactively with their environment through art, while also promoting reading literacy and Greek literature.

This alternative project constitutes the raw material for a fermentation, where all the ingredients of the recipe will come from everyone. It is a prerequisite to feel that we are—because indeed are—part of what is happening. As the KALLIERGON syn Team, through the "Poiitikoi Dromoi" project, we inspire and create the conditions for a mass cultural surprise where art cannot easily penetrate, in our everyday lives. Imagine project as a large canvas where everyone can add their own brushstroke.

This initiative offers a unique opportunity to cultivate creativity and cultural sensitivity, while simultaneously promoting collaboration, inclusion, and communication among people. It gives another breath to thematic tourism and the local economy. By integrating poetry into everyday life, the cultural identity of the region is strengthened and new perspectives for artistic expression are created. Poetry becomes accessible to a broader, non-initiated audience and highlights, in an innovative and functional way, the collaborative and communicative relationship between art and entrepreneurship. ​​

In this project, in addition to promoting Greek poetry and culture, we aim to create a broader platform for the exchange and recognition of poetry at the European level. In a dedicated section, collective organizations and individuals from abroad—primarily philhellenes and members of the Greek diaspora—will participate, contributing to the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and cultural stories related to poets and poetic traditions from each European city. Through this collaboration, our initiative acts as a bridge between different cultures, promoting the wider presence and acknowledgment of our poetry and culture in the international cultural landscape. Participants will become ambassadors of Greek literature and simultaneously help shape a network for the exchange of ideas and cultural stories, strengthening the sense of a global community around the art of poetry, the Greek language, and cultural identity.

The project is under the auspices and support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports (ΥΠΠΟ), Holy Metropolis of Messinia and the Municipality of Kalamata, with the support of the Kalamata Community, in collaboration with the Messinia Chamber of Commerce. The media sponsor is the public radio and television broadcaster ERT Kalamata and ERT3. It is supported by local media, as well as by important local associations and schools. The main sponsor is the company UHU.
